Sustainable Gardening Seminars: NW Flower & Garden Festival

Each year, the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival hosts a lively series of gardening seminars and demonstrations, free with paid admission. This year’s seminar series is chockful of stimulating discussions on the topics of sustainable horticulture practices, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and wildlife gardening.

Offerings include “Gardening in a Changing Climate,” with WSU associated professor and extension specialist Dr. Linda Chalker-Scott, and “Attracting Birds, Butterflies, and Other Backyard Wildlife,” with National Wildlife Federation naturalist David Mizejewski. Learn about “Restoring Urban Habitats for Pollinators,” with Eric Lee-Mäder (Pollinator Conservation Co-Director at the Xerces Society), and much more.
