Snoqualmie River Restoration at Oxbow Farm and Conservation Center with Stewardship Partners
Join Stewardship Partners and Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center for a day of fish and wildlife habitat restoration in our month long celebration of Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary! Today we’ll maintain our Alder Grove buffer by removing invasive plants such as Himalayan blackberry and planting some native trees & shrubs. Light refreshments (coffee, water, and snacks), tools, gloves, and an overview of the work we are doing are provided. We’ll also educate volunteers about Oxbow and Stewardship Partners. Bring a snack if you would like, as well as a full water bottle and a coffee cup or travel mug for refreshments. Dogs are not allowed on the farm.
How to prepare
We suggest dressing in layers that include long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a jacket. Sturdy footwear such as work boots, mud boots, hiking boots, or running shoes are recommended. Come prepared for the weather by bringing rain gear if you have it and older clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty or muddy.
